Asked to have my hash browns light, never came that way. Now they raised the price of the meal I get from $9.90 to $12.31 that's over 24%!! I complained about my food and was ignored! I'm done with this place.

A denser waffle than you're used to but that just makes it better. good crispy hash browns and even smoked salmon as a side option! A must for breakfast in cedar falls

Pros: Delicious! The waffles are tasty with a lot of toppings to choose from, and the omelettes are nice and fluffy. Service is friendly and attentive. You get a lot of food for the price. Cons: Limited hours qne limited seating (it doesn't help groups of older people sit in there for hours on end drinking coffee and talking all morning). Other than that, I've always been a happy camper when I have left this place.

Friendly staff & good service. Food was mediocre. Place was a bit grungy. I ordered the waffle combo (includes eggs, toast, hash browns & bacon). Waffle was tasteless. The rest of the food was ok. Didn't like that they has industrial-sized vats of syrup & other restaurant products sitting out in plain view. Considering the place has "waffle" in its name the waffles could have been better. Belgian waffles would be a nice addition to the menu.

First time here although I've driven by it probably 100 times on twice-annual visits to Cedar Falls. And honestly, I only went today because Maid-Rite is closed on Sunday, and Penne, Maid-Rite's owner, actually recommended Waffle Stop to us for Sunday breakfast. It was pretty darn good, I have to admit. It lacks the charm of Maid-Rite but the service was friendly and the food we had was delicious. Hash browns are fried in a skillet and mine came topped with a ton of melted cheddar cheese. Big fluffy omelet with fresh mushrooms and fresh jalapeños (and more cheese, of course). For dessert we decided we HAD to share a waffle, and it was indeed the best waffle I've had in a long time, with a generous amount of chopped pecans in the batter and more pecans on top, plus warm maple syrup. Seriously decadent and delish. Coffee was nothing special and my companion's omelet was missing a couple of the vegetables she asked for. Otherwise, a good experience and the ambiance at least doesn't feel like a chain (unlike Village Inn, one of the other main breakfast options in CF.) I would come back again, at least on Sunday. And they are now open for dinner three nights a week, too.

This place is amazing. The first time I went the owner had a great convo with us. Also try having a waffle with the gravy on top. Not on the menu but amazing!

Loved this place 4 years ago when I was in college, I took my fiance here today because I always talked about it being our Sunday place to eat after a night of drinking, the portions were huge and the prices were cheap! Well the prices have gone up and now since loosing over 100 pounds since college this place is gross... everything is covered in a pound of grease and/or butter. The sign in sheet to get a table was such a mess they didn't see our name and skipped over us. I can make better waffles and eggs myself at home without the pound or butter.

I've been wanting to try this place for years. It's really divey. It's an old gas station converted to a breakfast joint. They are open until 1:30 daily except on Thursdays they are open until 8pm. First impressions: weird smell. Not like breakfast or food but musty old smell. Not overpowering but you get used to it. Our waitress was a five star. Sincere, attentive and friendly. Wish I new her name. No one here wears name tags. The place could use a major scrub down. Pretty grungy. A layer of grey filth on everything from the booths to the gum all machine. The food was okay. Waffles were not what I expected. I expected more of a Belgian waffle but they were flatter. They had a crispy exterior like they were cooked in a lot of butter. My husband had biscuits in gravy. He said they were good. My 2 year old had a pancake and egg. I ordered hash browns and the waitress forgot to put them on the order. She apologized had them make them right away and didn't charge us for them. They came when I was about done with my waffle. They weren't as crispy as I would like and were really greasy. The place was busy. Several people waiting when we left. I'm sure we will be back since my husband likes it. I will update if my star rating changes.

So on my one an only visit I got the Panther Skillet or Panther what ever, the hash browns were way over cooked, how ever the person I was with had an amazing plate of food. I chalk it up to a new cook or someone serving something they should not of.

Great breakfast with speedy and personalized service. We had an omelette, French toast, and two Panther platters with sides of bacon. All were delicious and perfectly prepared. This is a place to return to.

Fast service. The food was great. If you leave hungry it is your fault. Huge portions. Staff was friendly and fast and the food was tasty. Will be going back again.

The closest thing in Iowa to a Waffle House. Makes me miss Alabama. Good, quick and friendly. The only thing that is missing is Grits and waitresses without teeth. This should prove to the Waffle House franchise that Iowa is ripe for the picking!!

I have only been here twice but I love this place! I have had the pancake meal. The portions are hug but for the price (pretty reasonable) it's a great deal! The cinnamon roll is so good and it's huge! I also have had the breakfast sandwhich, yum! Service is great, and you get your food pretty fast. The place is always busy, so expect to wait. :-)

This place is terrible! If expensive grease is what you want to eat then you have found it. Very dirty, weird smell, slow staff. Watched them walk with a dirty mop through the area they were making my greasy breakfast. Set up to look like a Waffle House, but no where near the quality. I think maybe the employees wrote the other reviews? Will NOT be coming back here and do not recommend it.

in Iowa we dont have "waffle houses" and i would not say that it is a southern style waffle house... but it is a great breakfast spot. its clean, freindly staff and the food is wonderfull. it is reasonably priced. its drawback is that it is only open till 3pm. if you are like me then you like some breakfast food later in the day, waffle stop will be closed. if you like waffles this is the spot for you!

Best place for breakfast I think in town, the waffles are great, omlets and so is the coffee. Panther plate was awesome and the side of biscuits & gravy was the best I have found in the area. Good service and portions. If like small town atmosphere this place is good, and it is small.

Great character, good service, but I'm mixed on the food. The hash browns were excellent, crispy and tasty. The namesake waffle though was nothing special. Eggs were overcooked.

Pros: YUMMY. Cinnomon Roll was out of this world. Great breakfast.. Cons: Little odd to walk in stood there for about 5mins before being greated then they were a little weird about clearing a empty place. But over all it's worth it the food is great.

Great breakfast. Fresh food and alot of it. Glad I stopped. Best for 4 or fewer guests as seating is limited.

Best breakfast place in Cedar Falls, big selection and everything on the menu is great. My favorite is the veggie panther platter, I can order a HALF sized on and have enough leftovers for breakfast for the next 2 days! Prices are great, great service, but not a massive amount of seating for this very popular place, so expect to wait a bit before being seated.

Best breakfast in town for sure, well worth the wait everytime we have come. Waffles, biscuits & gravy, staff and portions are all top notch.
